Closer than you think

Many times the last 6 months, I have been talking with people about the contacts they have with unsaved people. One of my questions ( and it is a good question) is: " Who do you think, among your contacts and friends, are close to the Kingdom ?. "Who do you think are open, positive and maybe ready to lead into the Kingdom?"  Most of them will give me at least one or two names. Than I simply ask them  the following question:  "If you believe that these people are positive and open, ready to receive Christ, what are you going to do with that the next three days.? It is up to you know"

This is what I have experienced:  Not always, but often people have been saved, led into the Kingdom because someone made a decision to go to them because they realized it was up to them to help them, to be Jesus voice, hands and feet and to minister His love towards them.

This is my question to you today. "Who do you think, among your contacts and friends, are close to the Kingdom  ? Ask the Holy Spirit. Think, pray. And so - what are you you going to do the next three days?  It is up to you.

Time go too fast

I suddenly realized. looking at my blog, that I had not been writing for months. Well, there is only one thing too say, time go too fast. This spring I have been very busy traveling all over Norway and also to other countries. It has been a great spring with hundreds saved, healed and it has been so good to see churches having a breakthrough in reaching out for the lost and see them saved. I am just back from a country in Asia, where Noralv and myself was invited to help leaders from different churches and to preach and ministry to the Christians there. It was fantastic. They received us in such a great way. We felt joined with them in a special way and they invited us back to help them.(Wich we will do). I really felt that we can, by the grace of God, change this nation . It was also good to see many miracles and salivations. Deaf people could hear. several people with deformed arms and legs got instantly healed. It was just so good to see the Holy Spirit in action. I love that. On Sunday, Kjersti, myself and the two youngest girls, travels to Rhodes for one week. We are looking forward to that. Well, I just want you all to have a blessed summer holiday with a tremendous harvest for each one of you.

Focus and strategy for 2006

I am looking forward to 2006. I know it will be a great year and that I will see more people saved than I ever have seen before. But there are two things, two areas I need to concentrate on; To work according to my plan or strategy ( it is important that you have a plan), and that I keep focused. In Luke 10, Jesus gave the disciples a task, and he told them what to do. " go to different places and find a man of peace ( read; people who will receive what you share.) But than he said:"Do not stop on the road!!" Why? He did not what them to stop, to aloud themselves not to be focused. I want to see my neighbor saved. I pray for them, I bless them. But if they shall be saved I need to focus, I need to make a plan which I know I can work according to, that I know I can do. That will give results. So my prayer for the next year is: "God help me to keep focus in what you have called me to do, and help me also to make plans and strategies that is according to your plans, and help me to see them fulfilled."

Christmas is harvest-time

I am really looking forward to Christmas, to bee with family and friends, and just have a good time. But I don`t want to relax too much. I have found that Christmas is full of opportunities to share the good news, to demonstrate the good news and that the sound of my footsteps is good news to those I am together with during Christmas. My pray for all of you is that you will have a wonderful Christmas and that many people will experience the reality of the Christmas message;  Jesus came to earth to save everyone who believe and receive him.   "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,* Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9.6

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

The harvest is ready and plentiful

This weekend I am in Skien, a city on the eastern part of Norway. I am going to do some teaching for some student at Youth with a Mission training center here in Skien, but most of the time I will spend together with Kristent Fellesskap Skien, a church which is a part of the apostolic work we have in Norway. On the plane from Bergen this morning, I was thinking about the harvest. When harvest is mentioned in the Bible is often together with the word "sickle". "Use the sickle, the harvest is ready". Normally when I have been thinking of the harvest, I have been thinking of numbers. But what does it mean that it is ready to been sickle? Do you now what I think? I think it means that many people are ready to be led into the kingdom today, this week! Yes, I know.;It is easier to think that it means just that the harvest is plentiful, many people.That dos`nt challenge us so much. But if it means that the harvest is full of people that are ready to bring into the Kingdom, today, and are just waiting for us to led them, than we are challenge because our experience and our mind tells us something else. But listen, don't let you mind and your experience lead you, but be led by The Spirit. Let him give us an harvesters eye so that we see the same things as the Lord of the harvest see. When that happens,we don`t just see people, but harvest. Today you meet harvest ( read; people who is ready for you to lead into the Kingdom). God has given you a field that is ready to harvest. Where that field is? Where you are. " Well, I don't know if there is anybody in my family, among my friends, neighbors, people where I work, who are open and ready". Ask the Holy Spirit. Be in his presence and listen.Be sensitive. And when he speaks, ( as He will) our response must be obedience. We have to go and help them into the Kingdom. The harvest is ready.......today.

Hallelujah!!!  Do you know what? My phone rang, right now while I was sitting her writing. A woman who is 89 years old wanted help to receive Jesus. I don`t know this woman, but that is not important. Jesus does. Praise the Lord. That was a miracle.

Small things - great miracles

A woman came to me in the meeting today and said: "Thank for for what you did for me 3 years ago". I looked at her, and to be honest I did not remember her or what I had done for her.  She said: "3 years ago you brought me a word from God and because of what you did I received Jesus into my life as Savior and Lord. The last 2 years I have been at a bible school. I love the Lord with my whole life".  I was so blessed, and do you know what? There are many people who believe in Jesus because what many of you said to them, did to them. When we say things, share things, give them a word etc. you have to trust the Holy Spirit, that he will use everything we do and make it grow and bring fruit in their lives.  I had forgot the woman and what I did, but the Holy Spirit used it, convinced her of sin and than she got born again.. hallelujah.. So dear brothers and sister, keep on doing the the good things.  Share life, share the gospel, meet needs and live under an open heaven and bring down whatever the Spirit whant`s to do trough you to those we are in contact with.  Remember, a little thought for you, a little thing, but when you do it, it can create a miracle as it became for this woman I met today.

The last days I have been together at Gullbotn with my friends, brothers and  co-workers in the apostolic team.It is always a joy and a pleasure to bee together like this, praying, seeking God and have fellowship. We spent a lot of time talking an planning. There are so many doors open for us and so many good things happening. We really need the wisdom from God to take the right decisions, to know what to do and what we should`nt do. It was also good to see Noralv Askeland back from the Philippines where he is spending most of his time right now together with his wife Tone.  There is just one thing I want to say after being together;  I am exited.

In four months

"Don`t you say in four months and harvest?"   Four months is what it takes in the natural from planting a seed to see the fruit. But in the kingdom of God is not always like this. Four months means; I believe I can lead somebody into the kingdom. I belive I can do that in about four months, but today?  Jesus says; today is the day of salvation. Jesus wants you to expect a harvest today. There is nothing wrong with the harvest. Somebody around you is ready to ripe. Who?  Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and ears.  Ask him to take you further, new steps into the fantastic ministries of reconciliation. Don`t  be led by your experience, but led by the Word and by the Spirit.

I was in place in UK some weeks ago and Friday evening before I went to bed I had been talking to Holy Spirit about the four months. I said I want to live a life where I always expect harvest and where I can see and hear what he hear.  In the middle of the night I woke up because I heard a loud voice calling my name. I was not sure if this was God or me just dreaming, but I started to pray. I felt the spirit led me to pray for a man who has started with drugs and was in a dangerous situation. When praying I also heard him calling out; "If you are there God, please help me!" I was in my bed praying for an hour, and just before I felt asleep the name Mikal came to my mind (the name is changed). In the morning I shared my dream with the couple I was staying with and asked if there was any Michael in the church, but no, so I thought it probably was a dream. Sunday morning, when I was in the church ready to share the word I saw a man sitting in middle of the room. I looked at him and heard myself saying; "you have started with drugs, you are scared and you have said to God ; God, I want to have peace, I want to be saved".  The man came running forward crying and said; Please help me I want to receive Jesus in my heart".  I asked him what his name was and he said;  "Michal".  The pastor shared with the church the dream I shared with him the day before. We all could feel the presence of God in the room and than several people came forward and gave their lives to the Lord. 

"Lord of the harvest. Open our ears so we see, open our ears so we hear, and fill us with you Spirit so we go."

Back in buisiness

What shall I say?  A long time since I have done anything on this page. I am sorry about that but to be honest, this is not a traditional blogg where you can read  new stoff every day, but not  just every month either. So I will try to improve. Things are going very well. God is good , all the time. There has been a good harvestmonth. It is so open, people are so open for the gospel every where. I have been sevral trips to UK. I have been in Sweden and differant places in Norway and it is the same; people are just waiting to here the good news and to be led into the Kingdom. I think I have have prayed for 45-50 people who received Jesus as Lord and Savior this month. Isn`t that great? The harvest is plentifull. Nothing wrong with the harvest. The good thing is, you don`t need to try to find the harvest, you are surounded by it.  So, open your eyes and take a good look. Harvest in about four months ?  No no. TODAY. 

A few weeks ago I met a man who asked me if I could pray for his mother to be saved. He had prayed for her for some years. When he asked me I suddenly heard a womans voice saying; "Jesus, I want to have peace, I want to be saved".  I knew this was the Holy Spirit opening my ears. I asked him to call his mum right there. He did and when I heard his mother answering I took the phone from him and said:" hello mum, you have a good son and he asked me to pray for you, but this is not what you need, is it?  I belive you want to give your life to Jesus, to receive salvation. Isn`t that so?"  She said : yes, that is true.  So we prayed together and she gave her life to Jesus. Hallelujah!!!!

Expect harvest to day. Expect to lead somebody to Jesus to day. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes so you see what He see and ask him to hear what He hear. It is so simple.

Be available for The Holy Spirit

To communicate with The Holy Spirit is a way of living. A lifestyle if you like. To hear the voice of The Holy Spirit should be very easy for all who are born again, and filled with the Spirit. He speaks in many different ways, words, emotions, pictures, visions etc. One of many names The Holy Spirit have is  the Spokesman, means he speaks a lot and he want to revile the Lords will for us so that we can see his plans for us every day. I find, nearly every day, that God is talking to me about other people. That can be people I know but more and more people I don`t know. ( But He does of course). When The Holy Spirit speak to us about people or things he want us do to, we should be exited. Something is going to happen. Maybe just a small thought or some few words. But when you do or say the small thought or speak the words you have received from The Holy Spirit the greatest miracle can happen for another person. Often I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when I am in a shoppingcentre, on a plain, walking on a street etc. And very often when I feel this presence my attention will be drawn to a person I see. When that happens I always ask the Holy Spirit. " Is there something you want me to do?" And than I lissen. Often God will fill me with his love to that person, and if I don`t receive more than that I will go to that Person and tell him or her that God loves them, cares for them and that He have a plan for their lifes. Many times have I seen tears in their eyes when I have shared with them and sometimes they open up for the gospel and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Eph.2.10 is telling us about this deeds God has prepared for us. Let us just ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and ears so that we can see and hear what he want us to do today.

May the grace of Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of The Holy Spirit be with you all.               (2. Cor.13.13)
