Closer than you think

Many times the last 6 months, I have been talking with people about the contacts they have with unsaved people. One of my questions ( and it is a good question) is: " Who do you think, among your contacts and friends, are close to the Kingdom ?. "Who do you think are open, positive and maybe ready to lead into the Kingdom?"  Most of them will give me at least one or two names. Than I simply ask them  the following question:  "If you believe that these people are positive and open, ready to receive Christ, what are you going to do with that the next three days.? It is up to you know"

This is what I have experienced:  Not always, but often people have been saved, led into the Kingdom because someone made a decision to go to them because they realized it was up to them to help them, to be Jesus voice, hands and feet and to minister His love towards them.

This is my question to you today. "Who do you think, among your contacts and friends, are close to the Kingdom  ? Ask the Holy Spirit. Think, pray. And so - what are you you going to do the next three days?  It is up to you.

A greate summer

I am back after a great summer. We had one week in Rhodes and we spent two Weeks in the eastern part of Norway. I have also been busy with preparing my daughter's wedding in September. One thing is to admit that I am getting older, but the taught that I will be married to a grandmother in just a couple of years is ....... Well, she is still the most wonderful and beautiful woman in the World. God is good and the Kingdom is extending. Have seen several people saved the last week. I have this sneaking feeling the this Fall will be the greatest Spring and Harvest ever.

Time go too fast

I suddenly realized. looking at my blog, that I had not been writing for months. Well, there is only one thing too say, time go too fast. This spring I have been very busy traveling all over Norway and also to other countries. It has been a great spring with hundreds saved, healed and it has been so good to see churches having a breakthrough in reaching out for the lost and see them saved. I am just back from a country in Asia, where Noralv and myself was invited to help leaders from different churches and to preach and ministry to the Christians there. It was fantastic. They received us in such a great way. We felt joined with them in a special way and they invited us back to help them.(Wich we will do). I really felt that we can, by the grace of God, change this nation . It was also good to see many miracles and salivations. Deaf people could hear. several people with deformed arms and legs got instantly healed. It was just so good to see the Holy Spirit in action. I love that. On Sunday, Kjersti, myself and the two youngest girls, travels to Rhodes for one week. We are looking forward to that. Well, I just want you all to have a blessed summer holiday with a tremendous harvest for each one of you.

Not lost , but missed

I have been thinking about the word "lost". I don`t like that word, it is too definite, too final for me. When Jesus, in Luke 15, was talking about the gentiles, the sinful people, he told tree parables. The first was about the lost sheep. He said that there was a man who had 100 sheep and than he lost one and he went to search for the one until he found it.  The second parable  is about the lost coin. A woman had 10 silver coins and loses one. In trying to find the one she turn her house "upside down". And then the third parable is about the prodigal son. Reading these parables there is something I have been thinking of. Before they got lost they were owned. The sheep was a part of the flock before it got lost. The coin was a part of the ten, and the lost son was living with his father and the brother before he went his own way. In Norwegian the word lost is negative. So what I will do is to think about those who is not yet saved as missing people, people who are wanted by God. They belong to him. He owns the harvest. The harvest belong to him. So, the only thing we shall do is to find those who are missed and bring them back. Easy, isn`t it?

Easter Conferance

Last week we had a great conference in Bergen. All the churches we work together with in Norway was in Bergen and we had a fantastic time. From Wednesday evening to Sunday up to 900 people was in the meetings. We had seminars and every evening celebration meetings. Keri Jones from Wales was with us. Keri is an apostle of God, and what we see in Norway today, all the churches which has been planted, the understanding of the Kingdom of God, is very much because of what he has been doing together with Noralv Askeland who is leading the work in Norway and together with Keri and Bryan Shutt, leads the international work -  Ministries Without Borders. The preaching on the different meetings was about living in the Holy Spirit, that we have been set free from sin , confessing the Word of God, live a supernatural natural life, bring down heaven to earth etc. We all felt the presence of the Spirit during the conference especially Saturday evening when Keri was sharing the word. We was so refreshed and strengthen in the presence of God. God is good. So , no I continue living in His presence and bring His life out to those who belong to Him even if they don`t know that( but they will) I will share the gospel with words but also in power. I got a phone call from a lady I prayed for some months back, who was given up by the doctors because of cancer. You know what? I guess you do - yes, God healed her and now her neighbors and friends want to meet us? Hallelujah, praise the Lord. Maybe they want to met us, but I know this; what they really want is to bee saved, have peace with God  and live with him forever. That`s what I go for. Nothing less.

Expect to see people saved today, tomorrow and the rest of the week. Where you are, you are the best person God can, and will use to be the harvester and an open channel for His supernatural power. You are the real God Channel.

Be brave and bold. You are on the winning team.

A miraclebaby

I just received a phone call this morning in my office.It was a woman who is a part of a church not far from Bergen. She just wanted to share some thing with me. She told me that I had been in the church one year ago and I brought a word of knowledge, saying that there was a woman in the meeting who had a tumor in her ovary and because of that, she could not have children. She told me she did not knew she had this tumor but they had been trying to have children but with no results. One week after the meeting she went to the doctor, and after some tests, and ex rays he told her that she had a tumor on her ovary. And then she said :" That is one year ago. I have not been at the hospital, but do you know what? The tumor is gone, and I am sitting hear holding my arms around my beautifully little baby. God healed me and gave us the most fantastic gift".

The move of God in Skien

Last week I was in Skien, on the east side of Norway. The whole week I was together with brothers and sister in Kristent Fellesskap and I stayed with Arve and Inger Helland, a fantastic couple who are leading the church together with Åge and Astrid, Tom and Kari and Torfinn and Unn-Karin. We had a great time. During the week I met all the cell groups, had  a good time with the evangelistic team who met for the first time.One of the cell groups have , for the last 3 years met in a asylum center. It was great to see people from Afghanistan, Africa, Estonia being together and we had a good time. several prayed the prayer of salvation and we saw some of them on the Sunday morning meeting. Hallelujah. During the week, when I was in prayer God spoke to me about a man and he also gave me his name. I did not know this guy, but obvious God did so I prayed for him the way the Spirit led me. One of the evenings I met a man who got saved the week before. I asked him if he knew this guy I had been praying and buy a coincidence ( which we don`t believe in) it happened to be his father. I told him to call his father and ask if I could meet him. We did, and that day the father gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, God is doing something in many of those we meet and know and he wants us to bee his hands, voice, feet to do His will. Therefor we have to be sensitive and obedient when the Spirit ask us to do things. (Just do it) . We saw several people saved  last week and I believe it will continue, the important thing is to keep focused, work strategic and expect harvest. I really believe that Kristent Fellesskap in Skien will see a great break trough in salivations and in healing.

The gospel - Gods power unto salvation

I was so blessed today when I received a phone call from a man who was on the morning meeting  in  the church today. I was preaching, and I spoke about sharing the gospel with people. I asked people to give testimonies and we had a great time. What happened to this guy was that he went to the hospital after the meeting, to visit his daughter. He sat down with her in the cafeteria and started to use a illustration, a simple diagram (You can dowload the diagram. Click at salvation under catagories on the left side on this page)) which shows the gospel in a simple and effective way. Do you know what?  When he did, 3 others sat down at the table. When he shared they all was moved and when he asked if  somebody wanted to give their life to the Lord, they all gave a positive response. Prays God. The good news, the gospel IS Gods salvation for them who receive and believe. We also saw people saved in the meeting. Be brave. Preach the good news in a  way that people can receive an believe.

Churchplanting

I have been traveling a lot since I came back from USA. Last week end I was in Oslo, to have a seminar under the title " Evangelistic churches.The conference, who was about church planting,  was arranged by DAWN ( discipline a whole nation). We had a great time. For me church planting is just another word for evangelism. We go into an area, share the gospel, lead people to Christ and help to reach their friends. That's rchurch planting for me. Simple. Well, we had a great time together. God is good.

Back from USA

Tuesday we came back from a good trip to Gilmon and Grand Rapides. We feel so privileged to work together in the Kingdom with so many good people. In Gilmon we stayed with Jim and Paulette Harkins and in Grand Rapides with Andrew and Angela Hughes. There is just one thing to say about these couples; fantastic people. The churches was doing great and we was blessed to see their focus;  reaching the lost and make true followers of Christ.
